Frankie Muniz says he hit 'rock bottom' after split from Paige Price

He described that self-reflection as an “unexpected gift”, saying he had been able to confront the areas that needed work rather than presenting a polished version of himself to the world. The actor, 40, said he had recently read that sometimes “hitting rock bottom” can be the experience that forces people to make changes they have been putting off.

He added that he hopes he will eventually look back on this period with gratitude because it helped him build a better life. Muniz’s comments come around two months after he and Price announced that they were ending their marriage.

The couple had been together for 10 years and share a five-year-old son, Mauz. Muniz has not directly said that his recent struggles were caused by the separation. Despite describing the period as one of the lowest points in his life, Muniz said he sees it as the beginning of a rebuilding process rather than the end of his story.

“This isn’t the end of the story. It’s the part where I start doing the work,” he wrote, adding that he wants to treat the difficult period as “the foundation, not the finish line”.
