    Lewis’ fantasy world. The film, Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew, is Gerwig’s take on the story that explores the origins of Narnia. However, the newly revealed imagery has highlighted several creative changes that have prompted discussion among fans of the original books.

    One of the biggest changes is the decision to move the story from the early 20th century setting of Lewis’ novel to 1950s Britain. Gerwig has also described the film as being influenced by the music and visual culture of later decades, including artists such as David Bowie and Paul Mc.
