Following the latest increase, the new price of petrol has been set at Rs380.24 per litre, while diesel will now cost Rs409.42 per litre. The Petroleum Division notification said the revised prices will take effect from September 15, 2026, and will remain in force for one day.

The people have expressed concern over the increase, saying higher fuel prices will make everyday expenses more difficult to manage. Several citizens said the rising cost of living had already made it increasingly difficult for families to meet their daily needs.
