IISLAMABAD —Pakistan’s Ambassador-designate to China, Ambassador Ali Asad Gilani, called on Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar. DPM Dar congratulated Ambassador-designate Gilani on his appointment and underscored the special importance Pakistan attaches to its time-tested relationship with China.
He emphasized the importance of further deepening the all-weather strategic cooperative partnership across a broad range of areas, including trade and investment, connectivity, CPEC, agriculture, science and technology, education and people-to-people exchanges.
Appreciating Ambassador-designate Gilani’s services as additional secretary (Asia Pacific), the DPM expressed confidence that his experience would contribute to further strengthening this enduring partnership and wished him a successful tenure in Beijing.
