Our survival does not depend on uranium, says Pezeshkian's son

““A rational person weighs the costs and benefits of something before making a decision.”(Web Desk) - Yousef Pezeshkian, son of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshki…”
“Our survival does not depend on enrichment. We won’t die if we don’t enrich uranium,” Pezeshkian wrote in an Instagram story. He said he was not opposed to enrichment and would abide by whatever decision was made by Iran’s Supreme National Security Council and the Supreme Leader.
“But my only point is that we should understand the dimensions of our decision and make it knowingly,” he said. “A rational person weighs the costs and benefits of something before making a decision.”Pezeshkian also said Iran’s nuclear energy program did not depend on domestic enrichment, pointing to the Russian-supplied fuel used at the Bushehr nuclear power plant.
“Even today, the fuel for the Bushehr nuclear power plant is not produced by us; it is imported from Russia,” he said. He added that Iran had more important technologies that were critical to the country’s security and governance but lacked adequate planning and attention.
