In her petition, Uzma Khan requested that the contempt case be fixed for an urgent hearing, preferably during the current or following week.

Two weeks ago, the Supreme Court had ordered that the PTI founder be transferred to Shifa International Hospital, a private hospital in Islamabad. The court had also ordered the formation of a special medical board to examine Imran Khan’s health.

It said his personal physician, Dr Faisal Sultan, and his sister, Dr Uzma Khan, would be allowed to accompany him at the hospital. In compliance with the court’s order, Imran Khan was transferred to PIMS Hospital on the night between August 20 and 21 for medical examination and treatment.
