NNEW YORK —Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a meeting with Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud on the sidelines of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
Under the framework of the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement (MJDA), we reviewed progress towards establishing the institutional structures under the Agreement and exchanged views on regional and international security issues. Pakistan, Saudi and Turkish FMs discuss regional, global security under Makkah defence agreement.
The Saudi Foreign Ministry also issued a press release in this regard. It said he meeting reviewed the progress achieved regarding the establishment of the General Secretariat, the committees, and the working groups emerging from the Agreement, alongside the preparations for commencing its operations.

The ministers affirmed during the meeting their condemnation in the strongest terms of the sinful attacks that targeted Makkah, the Honored, and the civilian and economic facilities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, while commending the vigilance of the Saudi Armed Forces and their capability to defend the Kingdom's security, and affirming the Kingdom's right to take the measures it deems appropriate to defend its security in accordance with Article (51) of the United Nations Charter.
