The rapper shared the news in an Instagram post on Wednesday, saying he was “blown away” by the response to the concerts., the shows were organised quickly with support from a community of artists and activists. He added that the artists scheduled to perform alongside him would be revealed soon. The tour was announced days after Macklemore was removed from Ed Sheeran’s US tour following his public advocacy for Palestinian rights.

Meanwhile, Macklemore has described the response to his advocacy as part of a broader discussion about artistic expression and political speech.
“When those in power try to silence our calls for liberation, art will always be a form of resistance,” he wrote in his Instagram post.
