The commission has summoned Mir Raza’s family members and their lawyer, Jibran Nasir, for August 28. A notice has also been issued to the Sindh government’s focal person. The development comes despite opposition from Jibran Nasir, who had rejected the Sindh government’s decision to form a judicial commission without consulting the victim’s family.
More to read: Petition filed in IHC seeking judicial commission to probe PIMS tragedy. Speaking to the media, Nasir said Mir Raza’s family would approach the high court seeking the formation of a joint investigation team (JIT) and would oppose the judicial commission.
He alleged that the commission was formed without informing the family and that its terms of reference (To. Rs) had not been made public.
