Death toll in Pishin attack rises to six

“The death toll from a firing incident targeting labourers in the Saranan area of Pishin rose to six after an injured worker succumbed to his wounds on Tuesday, police said., five labourers were killed…”
The injured worker was shifted to hospital for treatment but later died, bringing the total number of fatalities to six. The bodies of the deceased labourers were sent to Fort Munro, where they will be handed over to the relevant district administration in Punjab.
In a separate incident in Chagai district, armed men intercepted a vehicle at the Barta Gizi area and abducted five people travelling in it, police said. The attackers later shot dead two of the abducted men and took the remaining three to an undisclosed location.
Police reached the scene after receiving information about the incident and shifted the bodies to a hospital. After completion of medico-legal formalities, the bodies were placed in the hospital mortuary for identification. Police said an investigation into the incident was under way and efforts were being made to trace the abducted men.

Meanwhile, two Afghan nationals were shot dead by unidentified armed men near Sheikh Zayed Hospital in Quetta. Police said the two men were walking near the hospital when unidentified attackers opened fire on them before fleeing the scene.
Both victims died on the spot. Police personnel reached the area after being informed of the shooting and shifted the bodies to a hospital. Following completion of necessary legal procedures, the bodies were placed in the mortuary for identification.
Police confirmed that both victims were Afghan nationals and said further investigation into the killings was under way.
