Hina Javed murder case: Court extends physical remand of suspects as probe continues

Her husband and domestic servant were detained, while her father-in-law was also questioned. The two suspects were produced before duty magistrate Rana Shah Nawaz after completing an earlier three-day physical remand. Police sought seven additional days in custody, but the court granted only three days for further investigation.

Doctors collected swabs, saliva and blood samples for analysis by the Punjab Forensic Science Agency (PFSA). The final postmortem report, including the cause of death, will be issued after the forensic analysis is completed. On Tuesday, the investigation team took the suspects to Lahore under tight security for DNA and polygraph tests before returning them to Rawalpindi.

Police also recorded the suspects’ statements. A first information report was registered at Civil Lines police station under Sections 302 and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code on a complaint filed by Javed’s brother, Fahad Javed.

In his complaint, Fahad alleged that his sister had been murdered by her husband, father-in-law and domestic servant. The investigation is continuing.
