    Officials said the outsourced hospitals will be required to ensure the availability of specialist doctors and emergency services. The financial position and operational capacity of private organisations will also be assessed before they are allowed to take over the management of the hospitals, officials said.

    A third-party audit of the 32 hospitals is also under way to assess their existing performance and administrative affairs. Under the proposed arrangement, private partners managing the hospitals will receive government funds on a quarterly basis.

    Officials said the initiative aims to improve hospital performance and provide better healthcare facilities to the public. Following the outsourcing of the 32 hospitals, the number of government hospitals operating under private management in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will rise to 50.
