PTI pledges compliance as Supreme Court orders Imran Khan's hospital transfer

Speaking to the media at Parliament House, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan emphasized the party's commitment to the court's ruling, calling for the immediate implementation of the transfer to ensure that Khan receives the necessary medical attention without further delay.

Barrister Gohar underscored that the party intends to fully comply with all judicial directions, specifically requesting that party workers and supporters refrain from gathering outside the premises of Shifa International Hospital. This directive is intended to prevent any potential disruption to the hospital's operations and to ensure that the medical staff can focus entirely on the patient's treatment.

The chairman further clarified that the party is determined to avoid politicizing the health of its founder, stating that medical reports and health updates will not be leveraged for personal or political gain.

In addition to the focus on Imran Khan, Barrister Gohar highlighted the medical needs of former first lady Bushra Bibi, urging that she also be provided with appropriate medical facilities and care in a manner consistent with the treatment afforded to the party founder.

The sentiment of compliance was echoed by PTI Secretary General Salman Akram Raja, who reiterated that the party would not allow the health of its leadership to become a subject of political maneuvering under any circumstances.

Raja confirmed that he had provided formal assurances to the apex court that the PTI would not organize protests, gatherings, or any form of disorder in the vicinity of the hospital.

The call for restraint was further reinforced by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, who expressed gratitude for the court's decision and characterized the development as a step toward justice.

Afridi cautioned PTI supporters against taking any actions that could be construed as contempt of the court's order, emphasizing that the party's primary concern remains the health and well-being of its leadership within the bounds of the law.
