Newly elected AJK Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Tariq Farooq, Deputy Speaker Ahmed Raza Qadri and Gilani, who was elected on a technocrat seat, were also present. The meeting discussed key decisions regarding the formation of the PML-N government in AJK, as well as the party’s future parliamentary strategy.
Participants also considered the formation of the new cabinet, government priorities, good governance and measures to improve the functioning of the administration. The AJK Legislative Assembly is scheduled to elect the new prime minister on August 28.
