PIMS budget 2026: Hospital overspends by Rs670m as Rs22bn funding details emerge

Documents show that the federal government allocated Rs6.84 billion to PIMS during the previous fiscal year. More to read: Retired Capt Mahmood gets additional charge of Federal Health Secretary. However, the hospital administration spent Rs7.51 billion against the allocated amount, resulting in expenditures exceeding the approved budget.
The PIMS administration also received an additional Rs660 million in budget funds during the previous fiscal year. For the current fiscal year, the federal government has allocated Rs7.63 billion to PIMS.
