    LLAHORE The Education Department has decided to take action against government schools that recorded poor results in the annual Grade 9 examinations.

    Show-cause notices will be issued to heads and relevant teachers of 41 government schools in Lahore where the Grade 9 pass rate remained below 20 percent., school heads and teachers will be asked to explain the poor academic performance of students, while their overall performance will also be reviewed.

    It is worth mentioning that not a single student from Government High School Wasanpura passed the Grade 9 examination, while the number of successful students remained below 10 in 27 other government schools across Lahore., nearly 2,200 government schools across Punjab recorded a Grade 9 pass rate of less than 20 percent.
