The two were allegedly shot by their opponents during a confrontation over the canal water dispute. The suspects fled the scene after the incident. Punjab Inspector General of Police Rao Abdul Karim took notice of the killings and sought a report from Faisalabad Regional Police Officer Inam-ul-Haq.
