IISLAMABAD —Details have emerged of the proposed administrative setup to be established in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa following the imposition of an emergency, including a 40 to 50-member council for 12 districts and an 11-member advisory cabinet under the governor., the council will cover 12 districts, including eight tribal districts as well as Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Tank and Dera Ismail Khan.
Sources said the council would be named the Area Development Council, with the aim of accelerating development projects in conflict-affected areas. PM Shehbaz presses KP govt to cooperate with Centre against terrorism.
An additional chief secretary and an additional inspector general of police will be appointed for these districts, while senior government officers will be accountable to the federal government., the governor has been granted all powers under the emergency framework and will form an 11-member cabinet. The advisory cabinet will include 10 technocrats, while Samar Bilour will be its only politician.

Sources said restoring law and order would be the first priority after the emergency is imposed. The provincial assembly will be suspended following the implementation of the emergency, and the powers of the assembly staff will also be suspended.
