Zara Larsson calls Trump’s White House ‘losers’ over ICE video using 'Midnight Sun'

Tok account, was captioned “never ending deportations” and showed around a dozen men being restrained in handcuffs and leg restraints by officers. Larsson later shared parts of the video before responding in a three-minute social media post.
Larsson said she felt “really sad” about the video, arguing that it dehumanised the people shown and contributed to division. She also questioned why undocumented immigrants were being presented in such a way, pointing out that many are ordinary people working and trying to build better lives for themselves and their families.
The Swedish singer also reflected on her own circumstances, saying she considered herself fortunate to have been born in Sweden, where she had access to healthcare, education and other opportunities.@zaralarsson#stitchwith @The White House♬ original sound - Zara Larsson.

Larsson specifically criticised the decision to pair the footage with Midnight Sun, explaining that the song is about feeling connected to nature, the universe and other people. She ended her response by calling those behind the video “f****** losers” while making an L sign with her hand.
Larsson is the latest singer to object to the White House using their music in immigration-related posts. Ariana Grande previously criticised the administration after her songs Bye and We Can’t Be Friends appeared in White House Tik.
