No one will be allowed to undermine peace in country, says Naqvi

Naqvi made the remarks during his visit to the Federal Constabulary Training Centre in Charsadda’s Shabqadar, where he reviewed special training exercises of the Anti-Riot Wing and praised the personnel for their professional skills, modern training and operational preparedness.

During the visit, the minister witnessed practical exercises focused on crowd control, protection of sensitive locations, handling violent situations and maintaining public order. He said the Anti-Riot Force had been trained on modern lines and was fully prepared to respond to different law-and-order situations.

Naqvi said peaceful protest was a right of every citizen and that the law clearly defined the procedure for holding protests. However, he said violence, vandalism, damage to public or private property and disruption of public order could not be allowed under the guise of protest.

He said the government would not allow anyone to undermine peace, stability and law and order in the country. He also highlighted the important role of the Federal Constabulary in maintaining security and public order across the country.

Addressing the personnel, Naqvi urged them to complete their training with dedication and maintain a high level of professionalism. He said modern protective equipment meeting international standards was being provided to improve their safety and operational capacity in the field.

The interior minister also directed authorities to provide gas masks to all personnel and emphasized the importance of comprehensive training for dealing with different challenges. During his visit to the FC headquarters, Naqvi announced improved sports facilities, including the construction of an international-standard swimming pool.

He also visited the barracks, met personnel and asked about their concerns. The minister directed the reconstruction of all washrooms at the FC headquarters. He also inquired about an electricity issue raised by personnel during his previous visit.

The personnel said uninterrupted electricity was now available and thanked him for resolving the problem. Naqvi further directed immediate measures for the treatment of cancer affecting the mother of an FC official. A briefing informed the minister that trainees at the centre represented all provinces as well as Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

For the first time, 35 women personnel were also included in the training programme. The Inspector General of the Federal Constabulary, Deputy Inspector General Training, District Officer FC and other senior officers were also present during the visit.
