    NNEW DELHI Residents of Mandya city in India’s Karnataka state were left stunned after millions of Indian rupees in cash and coins were recovered from the home of an elderly woman following her death., the woman was identified as Hoor, who lived in Gattalu Layout in Mandya city and had been earning her livelihood for several years by begging outside a local mosque.

    Hoor was reportedly known to complain to people that her family members did not properly take care of her, forcing her to seek financial assistance from others to meet her expenses. After the woman died, her house was searched, where sacks filled with currency notes and coins were found, leaving local residents shocked.

    During the counting of the money, more than Rs3 million in Indian currency was found, which amounts to more than Rs8.7 million in Pakistani currency. However, local residents said the total amount recovered from the house could be between Rs3 million and Rs4 million in Indian currency.
