    QQUETTA —Security forces have killed 18 militants in separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan,. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, security forces carried out an intelligence-based operation in North Waziristan under the Azm-e-Istehkam framework.

    The operation resulted in the killing of 13 militants, while their hideouts in North Waziristan and surrounding areas were targeted. Security sources said the forces had been monitoring the movement of the militants before launching the operation and carrying out the action against their positions.

    Separately, security forces conducted an operation against militants in Balochistan under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3., five militants were killed in the areas of Siyapast and Killi Gashtari in Mastung. A significant quantity of weapons and ammunition was also recovered from the militants killed during the operation, the sources said.
