The footage had prompted concern among social media users, but the Lahore Zoo administration clarified that the boundary visible in the video does not resemble the actual structure of the zoo’s lion enclosure. Lahore Zoo Director Ghulam Rasool said the lion enclosure was protected by a high boundary wall topped with safety grills.
He said crossing the barrier and entering the enclosure in the manner shown in the viral video was not possible. The administration said comprehensive security measures had been put in place to ensure the safety of visitors as well as animals at the zoo.
Officials urged citizens not to share or promote viral videos without first checking their authenticity, warning that unverified and manipulated content can contribute to the spread of misinformation. The zoo administration reiterated its commitment to maintaining safety standards and preventing incidents involving visitors and animals.
