Special body to probe Hina murder

District Public Prosecutor Rawalpindi Mian Imran Rahim reviewed the progress of the investigation. SP Pothohar Chaudhry Asar Ali, DSP Civil Lines Raja Shakeel and Investigation Officer Mirza Arif attended a special meeting.

On the occasion, directions were issued to advance the investigation into the Hina Javed murder case on scientific and comprehensive lines, while the line of inquiry was to continue by keeping all possible aspects of the investigation in view. The meeting decided that there would be no compromise on the preservation of evidence, chain of custody and legal requirements.

Special focus was also directed towards collecting solid, reliable and legally admissible evidence. A comprehensive challan will be submitted to the court after completion of the investigation. In case the crime is proved, the accused will be awarded punishment, police sources said., husband Faisal Asghar, a domestic employee and other suspects have been accused of jointly murdering Hina Javed.

The body of Hina Javed was found hanging by a noose from the shower in the bathroom of her house. Her hands were tied, while blood and foam were coming from her mouth. In the Hina Javed murder case, her husband Faisal Asghar and domestic employee have been arrested, while her father-in-law has also been nominated in the case.

He has been named as an accused, but his arrest has so far remained pending. It may be recalled that Rawalpindi RPO Babar Sarfraz Alpa and Rawalpindi police have also declared the case a high-profile case.
