    New price of petrol has been set at Rs343.10 per litre and diesel at Rs371.80 per litre. The prices have been implemented for the next two days. Earlier, the government had increased the prices of petroleum products.

    The price of petrol were raised by Re0.39 per litre, while the price of high-speed diesel by Rs2.40 per litre. Earlier, the dealers’ margin on petrol and diesel was increased by 14 percent, with an additional Rs1.34 per litre approved for dealers of both petroleum products with immediate effect.

    Following the increase, the dealers’ margin has risen from Rs8.64 to Rs9.98 per litre.
