Addressing the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Palestine Committee, Dar said the six-member committee had a responsibility to mobilise political and diplomatic support for the Palestinian people. He stressed the need for immediate attention to the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories and Gaza.
Dar appreciated the efforts by the United States, Egypt, Qatar and Türkiye aimed at ending the conflict in Gaza. He also strongly condemned Israeli violations at the Al-Aqsa Mosque. The deputy prime minister said incursions by extremist Israeli settlers into the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound constituted violations of international law.
He called for the legal status of Al-Aqsa Mosque and all Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem to be preserved. Dar said Pakistan supported the full implementation of the Gaza peace plan and relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions.

He further said the reconstruction of Gaza and its governance arrangements should remain under Palestinian leadership. Pakistan also supports accountability for violations of international and humanitarian law, Dar said.
