'Now You See Me Live' sets Broadway debut for November 2026

Created by magician and producer Simon Painter and magician Adam Trent, Now You See Me Live brings the world of the Now You See Me films to the stage through a combination of large-scale illusions, high-tech effects and live magic.

Rather than featuring the original film cast, the production is led by a new group of illusionists who take inspiration from the Four Horsemen, the team of magicians at the centre of the movie franchise. The Broadway cast will feature Gabriella Lester, James More, Darcy Oake and Matthew Pomeroy.

Together, they will perform as the Horsemen, showcasing a series of illusions and stunts designed specifically for a live theatre audience. The production has already toured internationally, with performances in Australia, Singapore and London.

Its London engagement at the London Coliseum ran as a limited five-week season, with the show bringing together Enzo Weyne, Andrew Basso, Lester and Pomeroy as the Horsemen. Special guest performers included Eden Choi, Fraser Penman and Britain’s Got Talent finalist Rafferty Coope.

The Broadway engagement follows the show's upcoming Las Vegas run at the MGM Grand Theater, which is scheduled to begin on October 15 and continue through January 5, 2027. The live production is inspired by the global Now You See Me film franchise, which centres on illusionists who use elaborate magic tricks as part of elaborate heists.

The franchise has featured stars including Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco, Mark Ruffalo and Morgan Freeman. The Broadway version will not simply recreate the films' storylines. Instead, it uses the franchise as a starting point for an immersive magic spectacle, allowing audiences to experience the kind of illusions associated with the Four Horsemen in a live setting.

The production comes as the Now You See Me franchise continues to expand. The third film, Now You See Me: Now You Don’t, was released in 2025 and brought Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco and Isla Fisher's characters back alongside a new generation of magicians.

Now You See Me Live is produced by Tim Lawson and Simon Painter in collaboration with Lionsgate. The production is designed to combine theatrical storytelling with large-scale illusion, including solo stunts and visual effects.

The Broadway engagement will give the franchise its latest live incarnation after successful international performances, bringing the magic-themed spectacle to New York audiences for the first time. With performances beginning in November, Now You See Me Live will join Broadway's holiday-season offerings with a production aimed at both fans of the films and audiences looking for a large-scale magic experience.
