Eight members of Fitna al-Khawarij were killed during the operation, including three key commanders. Security sources said a large quantity of weapons and ammunition, along with foreign currency, was recovered from the militants. The operation was carried out under the government’s Azm-e-Istehkam vision, which aims to counter terrorism and promote lasting peace and stability in the country,.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the security forces for carrying out a timely and effective operation against the militants. The prime minister said the entire nation stood alongside the security forces in the fight against terrorism.
He reiterated the government’s resolve to continue operations against Fitna al-Khawarij until the threat of terrorism was eliminated. Shehbaz said eliminating terrorism was essential for maintaining peace and stability in the country. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also commended the security forces for the successful operation against militants in Dera Ismail Khan.
