According to. Variety, the singer will sit out the European dates, which begin September 1 in Dublin and continue through September 17 in Copenhagen. The announcement comes just days before the group is scheduled to begin the international tour.

The group confirmed that Laforteza's absence is intended to give her time to prioritise her health and wellness. She had previously announced on August 7 that she was taking a temporary break after receiving medical advice to focus on her mental health and well-being.

Laforteza's hiatus means Katseye will continue its European shows without one of its six members. The group had already been navigating a reduced lineup following Manon Bannerman's temporary hiatus, which began in February as she took time away to focus on her health and well-being.

The news comes during a major period for Katseye. The group recently celebrated its first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 withWILD, which gave the six-member act its biggest sales week to date. TheWILDWORLDtour is scheduled to open in Dublin on September 1 before moving through London, Manchester, Paris, Amsterdam, Cologne, Antwerp and Copenhagen.

The North American leg will begin October 13 in Miami and eventually conclude in Mexico City on November 27. Sophia's absence also follows another recent setback for the group. KATSEYE cancelled its scheduled performance at Olivia Rodrigo's Daisy Chain Fields festival after Megan Skiendiel sprained her ankle during tour rehearsals and was advised by doctors to rest.

Despite the recent lineup changes, Katseye is continuing with its tour plans. The group has not indicated that the European dates will be cancelled or postponed because of Laforteza's absence.

For now, fans will have to wait to see when Sophia will be able to return to the stage, as the singer takes the time she needs to focus on her well-being.
