Sobhana Mostary marked her 100th international with a top score of 40, while Shorna Akter struck an unbeaten 31 off 18 balls to give Bangladesh late momentum.

    Indonesia made early inroads through Ni Made Putri Suwandewi, who dismissed Juairiya Ferdous for four, before spinners kept Bangladesh to 30-1 at the end of the powerplay. Dilara Akter made 27 off 31 balls before falling to Ni Ariani, while 16-year-old leg-spinner Sofia Velic claimed captain Nigar Sultana for her first international wicket.

    Mostary was dismissed for 40 by Ni Luh Dewi, who also removed Ritu Moni in the 17th over. Ariani then struck twice late on as Bangladesh lost five wickets for 21 runs to finish on 129-8.

    Indonesia’s chase never gathered momentum as Marufa Akter struck twice early, removing Rahmawati Pangestuti and Maria Corazon. Fahima Khatun and Sanjida Akter Meghla added wickets before left-arm spinner Nahida Akter took 3-15 to trigger Indonesia’s collapse.

    Nahida removed Suwandewi and Ariani in the 14th over, with Velic run out for one. Two further run-outs completed Indonesia’s innings and sealed Bangladesh’s emphatic victory.
