Addressing the conference, President Conference for Young Parliamentarian Senator Agha Shahzeb Durrani said that there is a dire need for youth leadership in the parliamentary system. Only youth can make effective legislation in accordance with modern requirements and changing circumstances.
He said that the role of youth in effective political participation and policy-making is indispensable. At the Samarkand Youth Conference, the senator also emphasised the adoption of a common strategy among young parliamentarians.
Senator Agha Shahzeb Durrani further said that the young leadership must be provided with maximum opportunities in the decision-making process so that the parliamentary system can be aligned with modern requirements.
