Following the latest revision, petrol will cost Rs398.96 per litre, while HSD will be available at Rs395.72 per litre. The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) revised the ex-depot prices under the government’s petroleum pricing mechanism.
The Petroleum Division said the adjustment was based on changes in international petroleum prices. OGRA has also started publishing daily petroleum prices on its website as part of efforts to improve transparency and ensure international oil price movements are reflected more quickly in domestic rates. Petroleum Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik said the daily pricing mechanism is based on a seven-day average of international market prices, in line with international practice.
