The ministry has directed intending pilgrims to make their Hajj payments only through the officially designated Digital Hajj Management System or the Pak Hajj app., the measure has been introduced to protect pilgrims from possible fraud and ensure better monitoring of private Hajj operators. Pilgrims have been cautioned against making payments through unofficial channels or handing over cash to individuals.

The ministry warned that any payment made outside the prescribed system could put pilgrims’ money at risk. Under the Hajj policy, intending pilgrims travelling under the private scheme will be required to choose only officially licensed Hajj operators for Hajj 2027.

The ministry reiterated that pilgrims should verify the status of their selected operator and avoid dealing with unauthorised individuals or entities. Pakistan has been allocated a total Hajj quota of 179,210 pilgrims for 2027.
