Baig first shared the update on her Instagram Story, saying she had been dealing with flu, a sore throat and fever when the accident happened. In a close-up photograph taken inside a car, the singer showed a visible bruise near her eye and said the injury had caused swelling and pain.
She later went live on Instagram to update followers on her condition, saying she had been icing her face and had never experienced a bruise of that size before. Screengrab: Instagram. The outpouring of concern appeared to surprise Baig, who later thanked those who had reached out to check on her.
She said actor Saba Qamar was among the first people to contact her, calling despite her busy schedule to ask if she was okay. A close friend also called to check on her and offered help if she needed anything.

Baig said she was particularly touched by calls from people she had not spoken to in a long time. “It’s very heartwarming,” she said, adding that people one might consider mere acquaintances can show up during difficult moments.
She also expressed gratitude to fans who had offered prayers and well wishes despite not knowing her personally. “I can’t be more thankful to you than I am,” Baig wrote, saying the support had made her reflect on the people who stand by her during difficult periods.

“When people don’t show up in tough times, it makes you realise it’s a big red flag if they can’t stand with you in your moment of vulnerability and discomfort,” she wrote.
Baig added that those who disappear during difficult periods may have been present only for their own reasons, encouraging followers to distance themselves from people who offer false hope or support only during good times. The health update comes as Baig prepares for the release of her debut album.
