A large cache of weapons and ammunition, along with Afghan currency, was recovered from the terrorists. The security forces remain committed to eliminating terrorism from the country and ensuring lasting peace.
Earlier, Lakki Marwat Police and the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) killed a wanted terrorist commander during a joint operation in Lakki Marwat., the slain commander, identified as Manzoor, was wanted in several terrorism cases and attacks on civilians. The operation was launched against terrorists allegedly involved in an attack on players returning from a match in the Abdul Khel area. The attack, which took place a day earlier, left three soldiers dead and three others injured,.

During the operation, security personnel killed Manzoor and took his body into custody. Police said a search operation is continuing in the area to locate other suspects allegedly involved in terrorist activities.
