    Memon announced this while chairing a meeting of the Transport Department, where the expansion of the People's Bus Service, double-decker buses, EV taxi service, Pink Scooties and BRT projects was discussed. Transport Secretary Asad Zaman, CEO Trans.

    Karachi Zubair Channa, Managing Director Sindh Mass Transit Authority Behzad Memon and other relevant officers attended the meeting. Memon was briefed on the ongoing operations of the Peoples Bus Service and its expansion to different cities.

    The meeting was informed that the Peoples Bus Service would soon start operating on the Qambar Shahdadkot to Larkana route and that buses had already reached Larkana. The meeting was also briefed that arrangements for the arrival and operation of double-decker buses were being finalised.

    He also directed officials to speed up work on BRT projects and asked relevant institutions to coordinate to avoid unnecessary delays. The minister also said the Sindh government was taking practical steps towards modern, safe and environment-friendly public transport.

    He said the expansion of the People's Bus Service to different cities, promotion of electric transport and major BRT projects were part of a comprehensive transport policy.
