By sunset on September 12, the moon age is expected to reach around 34 hours and 33 minutes. SUPARCO said the difference between sunset and moonset along Pakistan’s coastal areas is expected to be approximately 39 minutes.
Based on these astronomical conditions, the crescent may be visible to the naked eye in coastal areas on the evening of September 12 if weather conditions remain clear. In other parts of the country, the crescent is expected to be visible through telescopes.
Based on the astronomical calculations, Rabiul Sani 1448 Hijri is likely to begin on Sunday, September 13, following the completion of Rabi-ul-Awwal. However, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will make the final decision after considering credible reports and verified moon-sighting testimonies received from different parts of Pakistan.
