IISLAMABAD —The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has increased electricity prices by Rs2.36 per unit under the monthly Fuel Charges Adjustment (FCA), adding to the financial burden on power consumers. NEPRA, the increase has been made on account of the fuel cost adjustment for September 2026.

The adjustment reflects the difference between the actual fuel cost of electricity generation and the reference fuel cost determined earlier. Under the decision, electricity consumers will face an additional charge of Rs2.3673 per unit in their bills, in line with the applicable FCA mechanism.

The adjustment will be reflected in electricity bills for November 2026.
