Held at the Grand Hall and Gallery No. 2 at PNCA, Islamabad, the exhibition presents a diverse range of contemporary practices, reflecting the ideas, concerns, experiences and evolving visual languages of a new generation of Pakistani artists.
Participating institutions include the National College of Arts (NCA), Rawalpindi, Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU), Rawalpindi Women University (RWU), the University of Gujrat and COMSATS University Islamabad. "A World Out of Place" considers the position of young artists navigating a rapidly changing social and cultural landscape.
The exhibition brings together varied approaches to painting, sculpture, printmaking, photography, mixed media and other contemporary practices, creating a collective portrait of a generation negotiating questions of identity, place, memory, belonging and transformation.
