    Bugti, accompanied by National Party chief Dr Abdul Malik Baloch, visited Civil Sandeman Provincial Hospital to inquire after the health of MPA and former provincial health minister Mir Rahmat Saleh Baloch, who had undergone a successful angioplasty at the hospital's cardiology department. The chief minister also consulted doctors about Baloch's condition.

    Expressing satisfaction with the treatment, Mir Rahmat Saleh Baloch said the availability of quality healthcare at the hospital was saving people the hardship and additional expense of travelling to other cities for treatment.

    In a post on X, Bugti said the primary objective of the ongoing health-sector reforms was to reduce the need for residents to travel outside the province for medical treatment. He said practical measures were being taken to introduce modern medical facilities and improve treatment standards at government hospitals.

    The chief minister said the government was working to equip major hospitals with specialised medical centres and facilities capable of treating complex ailments locally. He added that efforts were underway to restore public confidence in government hospitals and ensure citizens had access to timely and quality medical treatment within the province.

    Bugti said improving the health sector was an ongoing process and the government was utilising available resources to enhance medical equipment, diagnostic facilities, emergency services and treatment capabilities for various diseases. He said the successful angioplasty of Mir Rahmat Saleh Baloch and his satisfaction with the treatment reflected the progress being made under the health-sector reforms.
