LPG prices rise sharply as OGRA sets October rates

The increase represents a substantial month-on-month adjustment for consumers who rely on LPG for cooking and other household requirements, particularly in areas where piped natural gas is unavailable or supply is limited.

OGRA had fixed the September price of an 11.8kg cylinder at around Rs3,052, following an increase of Rs4.33 per kilogram at the time. LPG is widely used by households, commercial establishments and small businesses across Pakistan. Changes in its official price can therefore affect household budgets as well as operating costs for businesses that depend on LPG.The latest adjustment comes as OGRA continues its monthly LPG pricing mechanism, under which prices are revised.

The regulator maintains a dedicated section for monthly notified LPG prices and related pricing notifications. LPG users, particularly those who depend on cylinders as their primary cooking fuel, will see the impact directly when purchasing their next cylinder. The new rate will apply for October 2026, replacing the September notified price of Rs3,052.
