MMUZAFFARABAD —The Azad Jammu and Kashmir Election Commission has officially notified four members elected to the Azad Kashmir Council. the Election Commission on October 2, 2026, Chaudhry Latif Akbar, Mushtaq Ahmed Minhas, Chaudhry Muhammad Saeed and Chaudhry Manzoor Ahmed have been declared elected members of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Council on the basis of election results received from the Returning Officer.
The notification states that Chaudhry Latif Akbar belongs to Muzaffarabad district, Mushtaq Ahmed Minhas to Bagh district, Chaudhry Muhammad Saeed to Mirpur district, while Chaudhry Manzoor Ahmed also belongs to Muzaffarabad district. The Election Commission has officially published the names of the four newly elected members under Section 18 of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Council (Election) Act, 1976.
Copies of the notification have also been sent to the relevant authorities, the Azad Kashmir Legislative Assembly Secretariat, the Information Department and other concerned institutions.
