Speaking to Geo News, Naqvi said he was deeply saddened by the national side’s disappointing results and acknowledged concerns surrounding the team's performance. “I am very saddened by the national team’s poor performance,” Naqvi said.
The PCB chairman also defended decisions taken during the team’s England campaign, saying the measures were necessary under the circumstances. “What we did in England was necessary,” he said, adding that the board was examining issues beyond the players’ performance.
Naqvi, however, did not elaborate on the other matters under consideration, saying it was not the appropriate time to discuss issues beyond cricket. His remarks come amid criticism of the PCB following Pakistan's recent performances and changes involving the national team.
