Pakistan cuts petrol price by 43 paisas to Rs390.79 per litre, while high-speed diesel rises by Rs3.47 to Rs424.92 from September 18. ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Th…

IISLAMABAD The federal government has announced a marginal cut in the price of petrol while increasing the price of high-speed diesel (HSD), with the revised rates coming into effect from Friday. The price of petrol has been reduced by 43 paisas per litre, bringing it down to Rs390.79.

Meanwhile, high-speed diesel has become Rs3.47 per litre more expensive, with its new price set at Rs424.92., the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) revised the ex-depot prices of petroleum products under the government’s petroleum pricing mechanism. The adjustment follows continued changes in international oil markets and comes after a series of movements in domestic fuel prices.

The contrasting adjustments mean petrol consumers will receive a small relief, while motorists and businesses relying on diesel will face higher fuel costs. The government reviews petroleum prices in line with international market movements and other components included in the pricing formula.
