292 polling stations in the constituency, independent candidate Wali Dad Cheema came in second place with 42,623 votes. It should be noted that the scheduled polling time for the by-election, which began at 8 am, ended at 5 pm, while voters inside the polling station were given special permission to vote even after the scheduled time.
It should be noted that the NA-168 seat fell vacant due to the death of PML-N Member of National Assembly Malik Muhammad Iqbal Chanar.
