Speaking to the media, Chaudhry alleged that the JAAC and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had several similarities, including setting the same date for protests. He further alleged that weapons brought from a neighbouring country were being used to create unrest in Pakistan.
The minister claimed that members of the banned action committee opened fire on security forces and alleged that weapons had been transported from Afghanistan to Kashmir. Chaudhry also said that an alleged network was bringing weapons into Pakistan from a neighbouring country.
He claimed that a suspect identified as Zia had been arrested with illegal weapons and had been in contact with Sardar Aman. During the press conference, the minister played an audio recording purportedly involving Sardar Aman.
"Stay connected with Aman-e-Pakistan for ongoing live reporting and verified investigative updates."
Chaudhry said the government would present the evidence before the court.
