IISLAMABAD —(Dunya News) - State Minister Barrister Aqeel Malik has said that the situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is concerning and that the federal government is considering the imposition of governor’s rule in the province.
Speaking on Dunya News programme ‘ON THE FRONT, Barrister Aqeel Malik said the option of imposing governor’s rule under Article 232 of the Constitution was being considered. He cited governance-related issues in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and said the people of the province were facing difficulties.
Meanwhile, Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, addressing a ceremony in Peshawar, said the time had come for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to leave power rather than head towards Islamabad. Tarar said the government would not allow PTI supporters to create disorder in Islamabad.

He also alleged that PTI was the “B team of TTP” and accused the party of engaging in activities aimed at creating chaos. The statements come amid heightened political tensions between the federal government and the PTI-led provincial government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
