Kundi accuses PTI of facilitating terrorism, criticizes KP govt over security commitments

“KP Governor Faisal Karim Kundi accused PTI of facilitating terrorism, questioning its security stance and criticising the provincial government for backing away…”
PPESHAWAR —Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has accused Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) of exposing itself as a party facilitating terrorism, questioning whether the party was creating an environment for terrorists to operate freely.
In a statement posted on X, Kundi said PTI’s actions and repeated compromises raised serious questions, asking whether the party was facilitating an environment that allowed terrorists to conduct operations without restrictions. The governor said the provincial government had chosen to back away from its security commitments instead of accepting responsibility for the fight against terrorism.
He stressed that the provincial government should make the protection of its people its top priority. Should these not have been the priorities of a provincial government whose own province is bleeding? PTI exposes itself as a faciliator of terrorism.

Their actions and repeated compromises raise serious questions about whether it is facilitating the very environment in which terrorists operate freely in KP. Instead of taking ownership of the war against terrorism and protecting our people, the provincial government has backed away from commitments on security.
This is shameful and an act of pure cowardice.— Faisal Karim Kundi (@fkkundi)October 4, 2026Kundi said the provincial government had retreated from its security commitments in the fight against terrorism, describing its position on security matters as a cause for concern.
He further said backing out of security commitments was a shameful act and that retreating from the fight against terrorism amounted to cowardice.
