“Dilshan Madushanka's 5/34 bowls Pakistan out for just 110 against Sri Lanka in the fifth ODI tri-series match at Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium. LAHORE (Dunya News) – …”

LLAHORE —Sri Lanka's bowling unit produced a commanding display on Tuesday at Gaddafi Stadium, dismissing already-qualified Pakistan for just 110 in 25.3 overs in the fifth match of the ODI tri-series. Pakistan, put in to bat, again got off to a shaky start.

Struggling opener Fakhar Zaman fell in the fourth over to Dilshan Madushanka, having made 5 from 13 balls with a single four. Asitha Fernando followed up by removing Maaz Sadaqat for 8 from 11 deliveries (one boundary), increasing the pressure on the home side, who slipped to 23-2 after 6.2 overs.

The third wicket came shortly after, with Madushanka getting rid of Saad Baig for 5 off 8 balls. Salman Ali Agha and Babar Azam then tried to steady the innings and guide the team beyond 50, but their partnership lasted only 15 runs before Sahan Arachchige removed Agha for 9 off 14 balls, including a boundary.

Eshan Malinga then dismissed Babar for 29 off 33 balls, with five fours, and Pakistan found themselves at 61-5 after 13.1 overs. Shadab Khan, who recently struck his first ODI hundred against England, could not repeat that form, falling to Arachchige for 2 off 5 balls.

It was Arachchige's second scalp of the innings. Arafat Minhas and Hasan Nawaz looked to rebuild but could not stay together for long. Madushanka bowled Minhas for 10 off 18 balls (one four), leaving Pakistan at 91-7 after 21.4 overs.

Wickets continued to fall regularly. Dunith Wellalage picked up his first of the match by removing Hasan Nawaz for 17 off 31 balls, which included a six. Madushanka then claimed his fourth victim, Haris Rauf, for 1.

Captain Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah added some valuable runs, and a six from Shaheen carried Pakistan past 100 in the 25th over. The innings closed when Madushanka dismissed Shaheen for 15 off 13 balls, including two sixes, completing his five-wicket haul.

Madushanka led the Sri Lankan attack with figures of 5/34 from 8.3 overs. Arachchige took two wickets, while Fernando, Malinga and Wellalage each took one.
