    The board said the available evidence was inconsistent with suicide and that the manner of death also did not support a suicide conclusion. The report stated that the primary cause of the heart rupture was the firearm-related penetrating injury to the chest.

    The exhumation board also detected hydrochloric acid on Mir Raza’s shirt, while traces of the local anaesthetic bupivacaine were found in his blood sample. However, laboratory analysis found no evidence of narcotic, sedative or poisonous substances in the samples.

    The board further reported that traces of gunshot residue were detected on Mir Raza’s shirt. Lead and barium particles were found on both the front and back portions of the shirt, which are consistent with particles produced by firearm discharge., a higher concentration of gunshot residue was found around the rear portion of the wound.
